Employee killed in fire following pipeline rupture

Employee #1, an electrician, was turning off the engine of a bucket truck when the engine was exposed to flammable vapors from a ruptured underground pipeline. The employee died from burns suffered in the resulting explosion and fire. The rupture was caused by a backhoe digging a ditch.
