OSHA announces online public meeting of Maritime Advisory Committee on Occupational Safety and Health will be held June 4

MACOSH Shipyard, Longshoring workgroups will also meet

 

WASHINGTON – The U.S. Department of Labor's Occupational Safety and Health Administration announced today its Maritime Advisory Committee on Occupational Safety and Health will hold an online public meeting on Tuesday, June 4, 2024.

The full committee will meet from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. EDT. The Shipyard and Longshoring workgroups will meet from 1 to 3 p.m. EDT.

The meeting will include reports from the Shipyard and Longshoring workgroups, presentations from OSHA's Office of Communications and Directorate of Whistleblower Protection Programs and a discussion on wind turbine safety.

Send comments and request to speak to the Federal eRulemaking Portal, Docket Number OSHA-2022-0011-0055, by May 21. Be sure to include the docket number on all submissions. Review the Federal Register notice for submission details.

MACOSH advises the Secretary of Labor in formulating maritime industry standards and matters pertaining to the administration of the Occupational Safety and Health Act related to the maritime industry.
