Lithium-ion batteries are a type of rechargeable battery technology that contain one or more lithium cells that are electrically connected. Lithium-ion batteries power many devices we use daily including mobile phones, laptops, cameras, power tools, electric vehicles, and large Energy Storage Systems (ESS).
Lithium-ion batteries may present several safety and health hazards that should be understood and addressed due to their increased use in many workplaces.
