This notice of proposed rulemaking contains proposed requirements for the management of hazards associated with processes using highly hazardous chemicals and establishes procedures for the management of the hazards. Establishes procedures for process safety management that would protect employees by preventing or minimizing the consequences of chemical accidents involving highly hazardous chemicals. Employees have been, and continue to be exposed to the hazards of toxicity, fire, or explosion from major industrial accidents. Requirements in the standard are intended to eliminate or itigate the consequences of such accidents. OSHA will commence a public hearing on 11/27/90 in the Frances Perkins (DOL) Bldg. in Washington, D.C. Deadline for comments and notices to appear at the hearing is 11/15/90.
