Abstract:

Announcement of policy by the Office of Science and Technology Policy of the federal agencies involved with the review of biotechnology research and products. OSHA's policy is on pages 23347- 23349. The general duty clause, Section 5(a)(1), with specific standards provide an adequate and enforceable basis for protection of the safety and health employees in field of biotechnology. No additional regulation is deemed necessary. Comments must be received by August 25, 1986.
