State Plan Standards
State Plans are OSHA-approved workplace safety and health programs operated by individual states or U.S. territories. Most State Plans cover both private sector and state and local government workers throughout the state, while several cover only state and local government workers. See a complete listing of all State Plans. State Plans are required to have standards and enforcement programs that are at least as effective as OSHA's and may have different or more stringent requirements.
