NATA-ASC - Alliance Close-out Report - February 1, 2006

OSHA and the National Air Transportation Association - Airline Services Council (NATA-ASC)
Close-Out Report
as of February 1, 2006

On February 9, 2005, OSHA and the National Air Transportation Association - Airline Services Council (NATA-ASC) formed an Alliance to provide NATA-ASC members and others with information, guidance and access to training resources to protect employees' health and safety. The Alliance focused on reducing and preventing exposure to inclement/severe weather hazards (e.g. electrical storms, extreme cold, extreme heat/humidity, tornados and hurricanes) on the Airport Operating Area (AOA) ramp areas, cargo and mail ramp areas, and ramp areas associated with aircraft maintenance operations.

However, after the Alliance was signed, NATA-ASC focused its efforts and resources on launching the ASC, increasing membership in the Council and developing programs and projects for the NATA's Safety 1st Toolkit. As a result, the goals of the Alliance were not addressed and the Alliance will be concluded as of February 9, 2006.
