      Through the alliance, OSHA and CCAR collaborate in sharing information and resources related to occupational hazards in the automotive industry. Current areas of emphasis include lift safety, absorbed glass mat (AGM) batteries, and contaminated refrigerants.

2. Implementation Team Meetings

   OSHA and CCAR representatives met via teleconference on April 15, 2016 and October 13, 2016, to discuss ongoing work related to the development of an online training on safety and health hazards associated with Absorbed Glass Mat (AGM) batteries. Both parties also maintained regular contact via telephone and email.

3. Results

   The following table summarizes the Alliance's activities in support of the goals in the Alliance agreements for the timeframe of this report.

    

   Raising Awareness of OSHA's Rulemaking and Enforcement Initiatives and Outreach and Communication: Share information on OSHA's National Emphasis Programs, Regulatory Agenda/Rulemakings, enforcement activities and initiatives, and outreach campaigns. 4. Upcoming Milestones

   In the coming year, OSHA and CCAR will finalize an online training module on best practices for those who work with Absorbed Glass Mat (AGM) Batteries. CCAR will also continue to promote awareness of relevant OSHA rulemakings, enforcement initiatives, and outreach campaigns (including the Safe & Sound Campaign) as appropriate.
