Overview
Through this alliance, ASSE and OSHA provide ASSE members and others with information, guidance, and access to training resources that will help them protect the health and safety of workers and understand the rights of workers and the responsibilities of employers under the Occupational Safety and Health Act (OSH Act).

Results
The following table summarizes the Alliance’s activities in support of the goals in the Alliance agreements for the timeframe of this report.
Outreach and Communication: Speak, exhibit, or appear at conferences, meetings, or other events such as ASSE’s Professional Development Conference (PDC), NAOSH Week, and the ASSE National Capitol Chapter and AIHA Potomac Section Joint Chapter Meeting. Activity Type Activity Name/Summary OSHA Areas of Emphasis Supported Number Reached Event DOL Safety Day 2012: ASSE staffed an exhibit booth at this event. Unknown Event ASSE/AIHA Joint Chapter Meetings 2012, 2013, and 2014: OSHA coordinated and hosted these meetings; OSHA staff also presented agency updates. Unknown Event and Exhibit PDC 2012, 2013, and 2014: OSHA staff coordinated submission of agency abstracts, presented and staffed exhibit booths at which agency publications were distributed. Agency leadership including the Assistant Secretary also attended these events. Unknown Event NAOSH Week 2012, 2013, 2014: OSHA staff and leadership spoke on agency initiatives. OSHA also hosted kick-off events in 2012 and 2013. Unknown Products: Work with other Alliance participants on specific issues and projects on reducing and preventing exposures to health and physical hazards that are addressed and developed through the Alliance Program. Maritime, Ergonomics Unknown Products In collaboration with the Alliance Program Construction Roundtable, ASSE contributed to the development of a series of Construction Workplace Design Solution documents on fall hazards:

Fall Prevention Unknown Event Dave Heidorn represented ASSE at OSHA’s Hazard Communication/GHS Roundtable on July 12, 2012 in Washington, DC. Hazard Communication Not applicable Event ASSE representatives participated in OSHA’s Alliance Program Construction Roundtable and attended several meetings during the evaluation period.
