The OSHA and AGSP Alliance focuses on providing AGSP's members and others in the construction industry, with information, guidance, and access to training resources that will continue to address the health and safety of workers, particularly by reducing and preventing falls as well as addressing issues related to small businesses, motor vehicles, and hazard communication.
Through the Alliance, the organizations will use relevant injury and illness data in their industry to help identify areas of emphasis for Alliance awareness, outreach, and communication activities. The Alliance will also explore and implement selected options to evaluate the effectiveness of the Alliance and measure the impact of its overall effort on improving workplace safety for employers and workers. - Results The following table summarizes the Alliance's activities in support of the goals in the Alliance agreements for the timeframe of this report.
Products: Develop and disseminate Fact Sheets, Toolbox Talks, and Guidance on the appropriate use of seat belts in ground support equipment. Activity Type Activity Name/Summary OSHA Areas of Emphasis Supported Number Reached Products Developed in 2011 - Baggage Tug and Carts Fact Sheet: Preventing Vehicle Accidents and Collisions (2011, September). Provides possible solutions to prevent injuries and aircraft/equipment damage while operating baggage tugs and carts.
- Baggage Tugs and Carts Fact Sheet: Slips, Trips and Falls (2011, September). Provides guidance to prevent potential injuries due to slips, trips and falls while employees mount and dismount baggage tugs and work with baggage carts.
- Baggage Tugs and Carts Fundamentals Reference Guide (2011, September). Provides an explanation of the different types of baggage tugs and carts and how they are used.
Transportation Not Available Products Developed in 2012 - Baggage Tug and Carts Fact Sheet: Preventing Pinch Point, Amputations and Caught In-Between Injuries (2012, January). Identifies potential hazards and provides possible solutions to prevent injuries and aircraft/equipment damage while operating baggage tugs and carts.
- Distracted Driving by Airline Employees on the Ramp and Airport Roadways Toolbox Talk (2012, January). Identifies the three main types of distraction and provides suggestions for limiting them.
Transportation Not Available Products Developed in 2013 - High Lift Trucks Fact Sheet: Preventing Struck By Injuries (2013, July). Provides possible solutions to prevent potential struck by injuries associated with the use of high lift trucks.
- High Lift Truck Guide (2013, March). Overview of the fundamentals of high lift trucks.
- High Lift Trucks Fact Sheet: Preventing Slips, Trips and Falls (2013, March). Identifies potential hazards and provides possible solutions to prevent potential injuries due to slips, trips and falls while employees use high lift trucks.
Not Available Products Developed in 2014 - Pushback Vehicle Types & Fundamentals Reference Guide (2014, November). Identifies and defines fundamental functions of pushback vehicles.

Not Available Outreach and Communication: Provide opportunities for staffing an Alliance exhibit booth at Regional Airline Association Annual Conferences.

AGSP distributed OSHA publications and their Alliance developed products to conference attendees.
Not Available TOTAL Not Available - Upcoming Milestones In the upcoming year, OSHA and AGSP plan to undertake several additional projects through the Alliance to provide information, guidance and access to training resources on safety and health issues in the industry. For example, AGSP will update existing toolbox talks and fact sheets for compliance with Agency regulations. Through the Alliance, AGSP will review the Baggage Handling eTool for compliance to Agency and industry best practices on ergonomics. AGSP will also develop evaluation methods to determine the effectiveness of their training programs and Alliance-developed products and submit the results to OSHA.
In addition, AGSP will provide OSHA with an Alliance exhibit at their 2016 Annual Conference and an opportunity for OSHA to speak at the A4A Safety Council Meeting.
