Event: 2014 Labor Rights Week
Description: OSHA will be collaborating with the Consulate of Mexico in Philadelphia, the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission and the National Labor Relations Board during this year's Labor Rights Week. Monday's event at the Consulate will be focused on the theme "We all have workplace rights" (Todos tenemos derechos en el trabajo) and the outreach will focus on increasing awareness and informing workers and employers about their rights and responsibilities under U.S. labor laws. Each day's outreach sessions are focused on different themes that will provide stakeholders the opportunity to hear about their workplace rights in various industries, including construction or staffing agencies. Other topics hosted during the week include "Workplace safety regulations" and "Work rights of vulnerable groups."

Event: Alliance agreement signing between Ecuador Consulate Chicago and OSHA
Description
: OSHA, Illinois On-Site Safety and Health Consultation Program, Ohio Bureau of Workers' Compensation, Wisconsin On-Site Consultation Program and the Consulate General of Ecuador in Chicago will sign an Alliance agreement recognizing their joint commitment to protect the rights of Ecuadorian nationals working in Chicago and the participants' common jurisdictions. The Alliance will provide information, guidance, and access to education and training resources to promote workers' rights in protecting their occupational safety and health, and to help them understand the rights of workers and the responsibilities of employers under the Occupational Safety and Health Act.
