|
|
Good Morning Everyone! This is the inaugural "issue" of what we hope to be regular updates for the NRTLs on activities in OSHA related to the NRTL Program. Web Page Changes Our primary news for today is that we recently made changes to the information contained in OSHA's Internet site for the NRTL Program The major changes include the following:
If you have any questions, suggestions, or corrections after you review the web page changes, please e-mail them to me. I would appreciate receiving any of your comments--and the e-mail address you would like to include--within the next two weeks. Contact Information for the NRTL Program As many of you are aware, there have been a number of organizational changes to the administration of the NRTL Program within OSHA over the past year. A quick review of those who are currently responsible may help ensure that your inquiries are properly directed and get the quickest response. The NRTL Program is being administered in the Office of Technical Programs and Coordination Activities. As the Director of that Office, I have responsibility for the NRTL Program. The Office is part of the Directorate of Technical Support. Steven Witt is now the Director of the Directorate, and Dorothy Dougherty is the Deputy Director. In Washington, Bernard Pasquet is the primary contact for matters dealing with applications for expansion or renewal, or other administrative issues. You may also contact me. We can both be reached at (202) 219-7056 (phone) or (202) 219-7068 (FAX), or by e-mail to Bernard Pasquet or Jennifer Silk You may also talk to my assistant, Kathleen Stapleton, if you would like to arrange a meeting with us. (Note: Phone numbers and contacts shown may no longer be valid. If needed, see current contact information on Home page.) Assessments are being done by Ken Klouse and David Loebach. One of them will take the lead on any assessments related to your lab, and will be the person who contacts you to set up site visits, etc. John Linkletter has the lead in terms of lab audits, and will be your contact for those visits. Jim Pike is also helping with audits. Please feel free to contact me with any ideas, questions, or comments you have related to the NRTL Program. I hope having e-mail updates for the NRTLs will prove to be useful for you, and am interested in any feedback you may have on this approach. Thanks!
