Alliance -- An OSHA Cooperative Program<< Back to State Plan Alliances

Purpose and Scope of Alliance:

Comcast is dedicated to promoting a safe workplace for its employees. This is demonstrated in part by Comcast Michigan Region's dedication to implementing comprehensive safety programs covering vehicle accident, facility management, and employee injury prevention. The purpose of the alliance with MIOSHA is to facilitate communications and enhance the working relationship in an effort to develop additional safety and training programs related to the telecommunications industry. This alliance will also aid in the effort to strengthen safety awareness for our employees and the community.

Goals and Objectives for the Alliance:

  • Create and develop training programs specifically for the telecommunications industry in Michigan.

Training and Education:

  • Develop training programs targeted for telecommunications industry specifications.
  • Disseminate safety information to employees and management on related issues.
  • Use all available resources that MIOSHA can offer to further our training and educational processes.

Promoting Dialogue:

This alliance will allow MIOSHA and Comcast Michigan Region to share best practices and develop a network with other industry professionals to disseminate safety information to others in the industry during seminars and workshops related to workplace safety.
