Overview
The Alliance will facilitate safety and health outreach to Spanish speaking individuals in the Wichita, Kansas area with particular emphasis in the areas of non-English speaking worker and youth outreach/training to reduce construction and general industry hazards.

Implementation Team Meetings
- May 16th the WAO CAS participated in a Hispanic Health and Safety Outreach Committee Meeting to plan the 2008 Hispanic Health and Safety Fair.
- June 6th the WAO CAS participated in a planning committee meeting for the 2008 Hispanic Health and Safety Fair to discuss support for Bi-National Health Week and participation by the Mexican Consulate in Kansas City Mo.

Events and Products
Outreach and Communication
- On May 2, 2008 the WAO CAS set up and manned a table providing youth outreach material at the Cinco De Mayo celebration held at Horace Mann Dual Language Magnet School in Wichita Kansas.
- October 11, 2008 – The 2008 Hispanic Health and Safety Fair was held. The fair was attended by 295 adults and 408 youth. Ten persons attended one or more of the four one hour safety and health seminars for persons working in the construction industry. The fair features a number of very valuable outreach services and health screenings. The following is a list of those screenings followed by number of people who were screened.
