Alliance Background Date Signed. 05/18/2006 Alliance Overview The Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) and the Independent Electrical Contractors of Greater Cincinnati, Inc. (IEC) recognize the value of establishing a collaborative relationship to foster safer and more healthful American workplaces. OSHA and IEC therefore agreed to form an Alliance to use their collective expertise to help foster a culture of prevention while sharing best practices and technical knowledge, especially in the area of electrical hazards. Implementation Team Members David Hittinger, Director, IEC, Richard T. Gilgrist, CIH, Area Director, Dale A. Henderson, Compliance Assistance II. Implementation Team Meetings Two meetings were held at the IEC chapter locations to track progress and formulate activities to forward the Alliance. The meetings were held in September III. Training & Education OSHA 30 hour Construction Outreach training courses December 2006, 25 cards issued OSHA 10 hour Construction Outreach training courses August 14, 16, 21, 2006, 18 cards issued August 15, 17, 22, 2006, 18 cards issued August 14, 16, 21, 2006 21 cards issued Classes March 14, 15, 2007 Electrical safety in 15,000 volt switchgear (Procter and Gamble provides several instructors) 18 students March 30, 31, 2007 Electrical workplace safety in 15,000 volt switchgear (Procter and Gamble provides several instructors) 15 students Alliance Products.
