    Alliance Overview

    To provide contractors in the state of Illinois with information, guidance, and access to training resources that will help them protect employees’ health and safety, particularly in reducing and preventing exposure to safety and health hazards found in the construction industry.

    This report covers from December 4, 2009 to November 29, 2010

    Alliance Activity.
     
    Josh was available for the many questions the membership had on OSHA related issues. The construction industry is becoming more aware of the need for safety in this tough economic times. The availability of OSHA when discussing questions regarding the new crane standard.

    Continued training was conducted with Kevin Vojtech at FVAGC Annual OSHA update. This event is held in October of each year and over the last 5 years has averaged 100 field workers. This training brings workers and safety coordinators up to date on what is new with OSHA and keeps safety fresh in the minds of the workers.

    Alliance Products

    Quarterly updates from OSHA at the FVAGC Safety Committee meetings on any changes or safety hazards to make the membership aware of.
