Overview

The Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), Georgia Institute of Technology –Safety, Health, and Environmental Technology Division (Georgia Tech) and American Society of Safety Engineers (ASSE) – Trench Safety Task Force Alliance is focused on reducing and preventing exposure to trenching and excavation hazards.

II. Implementation Team Membership and Contributors

Metro Atlanta Area - Representatives from OSHA, ASSE and Georgia Tech conducted all required quarterly meeting by teleconferencing, formal meetings and training sessions on the following dates: 10/27/2006, 04/09/07, 6/22/07, and 7/20/07.

Savannah Area - Representatives from the ASSE, as well as OSHA’s Regional and Savannah Area Offices held a meeting on 3/19/07, 5/14/07, 8/13/07 and 9/10/07.
