Overview
Alliance to provide the Northeastern Pennsylvania Labor Management Council members and others with training, information, guidance, and access to OSHA resources that will help them protect employees' health and safety, particularly in reducing employee injury and illness.
Implementation Team Members
David Martin, CAS, Eve Centrelli, Executive Director, Northeastern Pennsylvania Labor Management Council. Steve Delp, CAS assumed responsibility for this Alliance effective 1/1/2011.
- Implementation Team Meetings
Monthly planning meetings were held. The implementation team planned a safety conference with an alliance of organizations associated with the Labor Management Council. This included Bill Cockerill, Scranton Central Labor Council, Bob Zukovich Greater Pennsylvania Carpenters/Scranton Building Trades, Paul Casparro, IBEW Local 81, J Callahan, United Auto Workers, Jack McNulty, Barb Dychala, and Debbie O'Rourke, Pennsylvania Dept. of Labor and Industry.

- Events
The Regional Safety and Health Conference held in May 2010 was attended by approximately 120 people. David Martin presented on How to Prepare for an OSHA Inspection and Area Director Mark Stelmack gave an OSHA Update.

- Upcoming Milestones
The members of the alliance have planned a low cost Regional Safety and Health Conference to be presented at Lackawanna County Community College on May 25, 2011. The conference will feature a keynote speaker and two tracks (professional and trades).
