AGREEMENT RENEWING AN ALLIANCE
BETWEEN
U.S. DEPARTMENT OF LABOR
OCCUPATIONAL SAFETY AND HEALTH ADMINISTRATION
ANCHORAGE AREA OFFICE
AND
ALYESKA PIPELINE SERVICE COMPANY – SERVS & TCC, llc
AND
STATE OF ALASKA, OCCUPATIONAL SAFETY AND HEALTH

The Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) and Alyeska Pipeline Service Company – SERVS & TCC/llc (APSC/SERVS/TCC) hereby renew the Alliance signed on September 24, 2003. OSHA and APSC/SERVS/TCC continue to recognize the value of a collaborative relationship to foster safer and more healthful American workplaces. All groups are committed to sharing their collective expertise to help advance a culture of prevention while sharing best practices and technical knowledge in the areas of emergency response, especially as it pertains to oil spill response. In renewing this Alliance, OSHA and APSC/SERVS/TCC recognize that OSHA’s State Plan and Consultation Project partner, the State of Alaska, Occupational Safety and Health (AKOSH) is an integral part of this effort and invite AKOSH to participate as a member of this Alliance.

OSHA’s Alliances provide parties an opportunity to participate in a voluntary cooperative relationship with OSHA for purposes such as training and education, outreach and communication and promoting a dialogue on workplace safety and health. These Alliances have proved to be valuable tools for both OSHA and its Alliance participants. By entering into an Alliance with a party, OSHA is not endorsing any of that party’s products or services; nor does the Agency enter into an Alliance with the purpose of promoting a particular party’s products or services.

An implementation team made up of representatives of all organizations will continue to meet to take further action in determining working procedures, and identifying the roles and responsibilities of the participants. In addition, they will meet at least three times per year to track and share information on activities and results in achieving the goals of the Alliance. Team members will include representatives of OSHA’s Anchorage Area Office, AKOSH office, and APSC/SERVS/TCC.

This agreement will remain in effect for two years. Any signatory may terminate their participation in the Alliance for any reason at any time, provided they give 30 days written notice.

This agreement may be modified at any time with the concurrence of all signatories.
