Real Stories are actual accidents and tragedies that have occurred to youth in the workplace, taken from the NIOSH Fatality Assessment and Control Evaluation (FACE) website, the Massachusetts Department of Health, and OSHA inspection data. All names have been changed.

Employers are responsible for the safety of their workplace and must provide workers with necessary training and personal protective equipment. Employers must have an emergency action plan and ensure the ready availability of medical services or first aid supplies.
