Characteristic Two-Theta Values

The diffracted angles associated with the lattice structure allows XRD to be more versatile in identifying quartz. Up to four different angles can be used on one sample to identify and quantitate the amount of quartz present. Up to three angles are normally used to identify and quantitate cristobalite or (not shown) tridymite.
