Downloading and Installing the
OSHA Respiratory Protection eTool

The Respiratory Protection eTool consists of approximately 18.4 MB of files. It is accessible using a standard Internet Web browser. Files are named using "long" file names; therefore, it is not compatible with DOS or Windows 3.1 systems. It is designed to function with Netscape 4.0 and Internet Explorer 4.0, or higher, browsers and a screen resolution of 800 x 600 pixels. Portions of the eTool utilize JavaScript. If your browser does not support JavaScript or it is not enabled, these portions will not function.
  • The eTool is provided as a compressed archive (ZIP) which can be extracted into a folder on your system using a standard compression utility.

  • Click on the link below to download the archive. Follow the directions to save the downloaded file to your hard drive (you may want to place it on your desktop or a similar place where it will be easy to locate).

  • You will need to use your compression utility to extract the files. Unless you change the settings, the files will be extracted to a subfolder named respiratoryadvisor.

  • Once you have extracted the files, go to the respiratoryadvisor folder and open the start.htm file with your Web browser (this can generally be done by double-clicking on the start.htm icon).

Download the Respiratory Protection eTool [14.1 MB]. This will require approximately 90 minutes using a 28.8K baud connection.
