LAS VEGAS - The U.S. Department of Labor's Occupational Safety and Health Administration is announcing the opening of a new area office at 600 Las Vegas Blvd. S., Suite 750, in Las Vegas. The opening of this office will support OSHA's increased activity, strengthened enforcement and enhanced state plan oversight.
The new area director of OSHA's Las Vegas office is Joy Flack, with more than 23 years of federal and state OSHA experience. Flack has attained her designation as a certified industrial hygienist and previously served as the agency's area director in Bellevue, Wash.
"With the brand new area office in Las Vegas, we will improve service to workers and employers in Nevada, and enhance our coordination and oversight with the state plan," said Ken Nishiyama Atha, OSHA's regional administrator in San Francisco, Calif. "This presence ultimately will ensure workers are better protected."
