• Title: Request for Comments and Information Concerning Substance Abuse Programs in the Workplace

The Department of Labor is requesting information regarding employee substance abuse programs, including their content, cost and effectiveness. It has been determined that "comprehensive substance abuse programs" are one of the most effective ways for companies to address the problem of substance abuse in their workplace and information is requested in order to assist small business in establishing these programs. A variety of nonproprietary substance abuse information is being requested from sources such as Federal and State governments, private industry, community groups and national associations. Written comments, information and data should be submitted by 10/15/91, to Mark Wilson, Office of the Assistant Secretary for Policy, USDOL, room S-2114, 200 Constitution Ave. NW., Washington, D.C., 20210; telephone (202)523-6054.
