• Title: Formaldehyde; Extension of Administrative Stay

Abstract:

The administrative stay of 29 CFR 1910.1048(m)(i) through (m)(4)(ii)
will be effective an additional nine months until June 13, 1990.
OSHA has not yet completed work on certain proposed amendments to
the Hazard Communication Standard (see 53:29822, 8/8/88). These
amendments are relevant to the decision as to whether it would be
appropriate to substitute the amended Hazard Communication Standard
for stayed paragraphs of the Formaldehyde Standard. While this stay
is in effect, affected employers must continue to comply with the
provisions of OSHA's Hazard Communication Standard.
