OSH ACT of 1970 Section (5)(a)(1): The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employee(s) working aloft from a ladder cutting tree limb(s) was not tied in or otherwise secured to the tree. a) During tree removal at the rear of residential property at 720 Edgar Rd in Elizabeth NJ, an employee worked from an extension ladder leaned against the tree using a chainsaw to cut limbs. The arborist employee was not tied in or otherwise secured to the tree, exposing him to the hazard of a 20 ft. fall. Condition(s) were noted on or about 12/05/2019.
