OSH ACT of 1970 Section (5)(a)(1): The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to a struck-by hazard: (a) On or about September 12, 2019 at the intersection of Grand Avenue and Goldsmith Street, Elmhurst, NY 11373. Employees performing maintenance work on traffic lanterns from the bucket of a bucket truck over an active traffic lane were exposed to struck-by hazards from vehicles passing underneath. ABATEMENT CERTIFICATION IS REQUIRED PURSUANT TO 29 CFR 1903.19.
