OSH ACT of 1970 Section (5)(a)(1): Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970: The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employee(s) in that employee(s) were exposed to the hazard of a slip/trip/fall hazard: a/ Inside of the Crunden Martin Facility, specifically the basement, employee(s) were exposed to the potential hazard of a slip/trip/fall hazard due to the lack of light inside of one freight/passenger Otis Elevator a.k.a Bean Sprout Elevator. One method of abatement to correct this apparent hazard is to install adequate light within the elevator as required by ASME A17.3-2011, paragraph 3.4.5.
