At 5:00 p.m. on July 29, 2013, Employee #1 was using a weed eater to trim the grass on the curb beside a street. A motor vehicle approached the employee from behind and jumped the curb. The motor vehicle first struck a fire hydrant, then struck Employee #1, killing him.
