Summary Nr: 38756.015Event: 01/19/2013Employee Is Struck By Pressurized Pipe And Is Killed
At approximately 3:15 p.m. on January 19, 2013, Employee #1 was standing by a valve connected to an iron tubing line. He opened the valve, which had approximately 4,100 pounds per square inch of pressure on it. The release of pressure caused the tubing to propel and it struck Employee #1 in the chest. Employee #1 was killed.
