Summary Nr: 138859.015 Event: 08/02/2021Employee With Covid-19 Infection Dies
At 2:20 p.m. on August 2, 2021, an employee who worked for a city public safety department reported to a job with a coworker to install 2 fire detectors at an e lderly resident's home. On August 31, 2021, the employee died due to COVID-19. O n August 11, 2021, the employee became symptomatic and was placed out of work. T he employee was tested and received positive results on August 13, 2021. On Augu st 19, 2021, the employee was hospitalized and remained in the hospital until he died from COVID-19 at approximately 12:00 p.m. on August 31, 2021. Information regarding engineering, administrative and personal protective equipment controls for COVID-19 are not included in the narrative.
