Summary Nr: 133646.015 Event: 01/29/2021Employee With Covid-19 Infection Dies
An employee had been working for a City general service/fleet services departmen t. The employer manages facilities, equipment, supplies, maintenance, and provid es other support services to elected officials, City departments and residents. The employee last worked on December 3, 2020, and tested positive for COVID-19 o n January 9, 2021. On January 10, 2021, the employee was transported to a hospit al for the treatment of COVID-19 and was hospitalized until he died on January 2 9,2021. The date, time and other details leading up to exposure are not indicate d in the narrative. The employer is looking into contact tracing but didn't lear n of the hospitalization until January 20, 2021. Information regarding engineeri ng, administrative and personal protective equipment controls for COVID-19 are n ot included in the narrative.
