Accident Investigation Summary
Summary Nr: 132140.015 Event: 01/04/2021Employee Troubleshooting Non-Functioning Light Is Electrocut
At 9:15 a.m. on January 4, 2021, Employee #1, employed by an electrical contract or, was working at a multiemployer construction project, a new two-story commerc ial building. An electric light in the building's courtyard was not working. A s the employee was troubleshooting the problem, he came into contact with an ene rgized 277-volt electric circuit. Employee #1 sustained a severe electric shock and was killed by electrocution.
