Summary Nr: 131366.015 Event: 11/29/2020Employee Is Killed In Fall From Fixed Ladder
At 12:00 noon on November 29, 2020, an employee was cleaning the walls of the ho ld of a ship with a broom while descending down a fixed ladder. The employee had cleaned down to the second platform when he went to step onto a second fixed la dder and his right foot missed the step causing him to fall approximately 28 fee t to the bottom of the ship's hold. The employee suffered fatal head and torso t rauma.
