Summary Nr: 131329.015 Event: 11/25/2020Employee With Covid-19 Infection Dies
At approximately 3:30 p.m. on November 25, 2020, an employee was working as a pa ramedic. On November 9, 2020, the employee was admitted to the hospital due to experiencing fever, chills, loss of taste and smell, congestion, cough, body ach es, and weakness and tested positive for COVID-19. The onset of the symptoms be gan on November 4, 2020. The employee had recently transported three patients w ho at the time of transport were not known to be carrying the SARS-CoV-2 Virus b ut were later determined to be COVID-19 positive. On October 20, 2020, the empl oyee had transported a patient who later tested positive for COVID-19 on Novembe r 4, 2020. On October 21, 2020, the employee had transported a patient who late r tested positive for COVID-19 on November 12, 2020. On November 4, 2020, the e mployee transported a patient who later tested positive for COVID-19 on November 5, 2020. The employee remained in the hospital and died on November 25, 2020.
