Summary Nr: 128803.015 Event: 08/19/2020Employee With Covid-19 Infection Dies
An employee was working at a nursing care or skilled nursing facility. She worke d as a nurse in the COVID-designated unit of a long-term care facility nursing h ome. On July 31, 2020, she tested positive for COVID-19. On August 1, 2020, she took another COVID-19 test. This time, she tested negative. She stayed in quaran tine. On August 7, 2020, she contacted her employers to let them know that she h ad been admitted to an emergency room (ER) and subsequently the hospital, with c hest pain and suspected pneumonia. At 2:00 a.m. on August 19, 2020, her family notified the employer that she had died. The suspected cause was COVID-19.
