Summary Nr: 128828.015 Event: 08/01/2020Employee With Covid-19 Infection Dies
An employee was working for a used car dealer. She worked in an office along wit h several coworkers. She became ill with COVID-19, which she likely contracted i n the workplace. She began to exhibit symptoms of COVID-19 on July 12, 2020. Pri or to showing symptoms, she had been working in the office. Several of her cowor kers would later test positive for COVID-19. She kept working in the office prio r to being admitted to the hospital on July 22, 2020. She was admitted for acute hypoxic respiratory failure. At the hospital, the employee tested positive for COVID-19. At 8:00 a.m. on August 1, 2020, she died in the hospital from hypoxic respiratory failure complicated by multi-organ system failure caused by COVID-1 9 viral pneumonia.
