Summary Nr: 125950.015 Event: 05/06/2020Employee With Covid-19 Infection Dies
At 10:00 a.m. on May 6, 2020, Employee # 1 was working in a nursing unit in whic h multiple patients were leaving the facility for dialysis treatments up to thre e times a week. Many of the dialysis patients started demonstrating symptoms COV ID-19. She and other employees were required to test the patients via a nasal s wab for the COVID-19 virus without adequate personal protective equipment. She c ontracted the virus and died. Her death certificate stated the cause of death wa s cardiomyopathy and pneumonia due to COVID-19 Virus.
