Summary Nr: 123669.015 | Event: 01/20/2020 | Employee Experiences Seizure, Later Dies | ||||
At 2:00 pm on January 20, 2020, an employee at the Target store restocked her assigned display. After restocking her display, the employee left the store. While leaving the store, the employee suffered a seizure and fell onto the cement floor hitting her head, resulting in a laceration to her scalp. Employees from the store helped her and notified the Manhattan Beach Fire Department. She was transferred to the Harbor UCLA Hospital. At Harbor UCLA Hospital, the employee underwent a CT scan which showed a right temporal bone fracture in which a a ventricular drain was placed was inserted. The employee was, then, transferred to the Intensive care unit, where a followup head scan showed interventricular hemorrhaging where a ventricular drain was placed. On January 26, 2020 at 6:58 p.m., the employee died from her injury. | ||||||
