Summary Nr: 118584.015 Event: 07/17/2019Employee Amputates Finger Tip While Using Lamination Machine
At approximately 7:00 p.m. on July 17, 2019, an employee was observing the gluin g operation on the lamination machine with the guard raised. The employee reache d into the roller feed area to pick a piece of material off as the machine was r unning and got caught between the two rollers. The employee's right hand was pu lled into the rollers and continued to pull him up to his shoulder before the ma chine was turned off by a coworker. The employee's right-hand index fingertip a mputation and sustained two broken fingers. The employee was hospitalized for t hese injuries.
