At 10:30 p.m. on April 1, 2019, an employee was part of a utility crew that were assigned to lift and tie off communication lines that were above a roadway. As the employee stepped from a median lane into the southbound lane, a motor vehicle struck him. The employee was thrown an approximate 100 feet and suffered injuries to his head and body. As a result, the employee was killed.
