At 10:27 a.m. on December 13, 2018, Employee #1 was standing approximately 150 feet from the logs that were being lifted by a cable. His coworker was using a hook tender and raised a log with the drop line. During this process, a limb, measuring 21 foot in length and 4 inches in diameter, broke off of another tree and struck Employee #1 in the shoulder. The employee sustained a dislocated shoulder and fractured ribs. He was hospitalized for treatment.
