Summary Nr: 110782.015Event: 07/31/2018Employee Dies After Being Struck By Motor Vehicle
At 2:30 p.m. on July 31, 2018, Employee #1 was trying to locate an underground w ater tap that was beneath the northbound traffic lane of the M-25 interstate. Th e posted speed was 50 miles per hour. While bent over, looking at the reading on a locating instrument, the employee was struck by the left front corner of a pa ssing motor vehicle. Employee #1 was hospitalized and later died from severe int ernal injuries.
