Summary Nr: 107444.015Event: 07/05/2018Employee'S Eye Is Punctured By Ricocheting Nail
At 10:00 a.m. on July 5, 2018, Employee #1, employed by a framing construction c ompany, was engaged in framing work at a two-story multifamily residential struc ture. He was using a hammer to nail a piece of hardware to the framing when a n ail ricocheted and struck his eye. Emergency services transported the employee to the hospital, where he was admitted and treated for the puncture wound. Empl oyee #1 required surgery to his eye.
