At 4:00 p.m. on February 20, 2018, an employee was standing on a dock leveler while waiting for a CHEMO trailer to be backed in. The employee climbed down to the ground and lifted the dock plate manually to sit on the trailer but could not raise it completely due to a mechanical issue. The employee became pinned when the trailer began to compress his body against the dock. The employee was hospitalized with several fractured ribs and a lacerated spleen.
