Summary Nr: 102055.015Event: 12/29/2017Employee Fractured Finger While Loading Dumpster Into A Garb
At 6:45 a.m. on December 29, 2017, an employee was emptying a 2-yard dumpster into a rear loading garbage truck. The employee lost control of the 2-yard dumpster when it impacted ice when returning it to its enclosure. The employees finger was caught between the dumpster trunnion bar and the garbage truck resulting in a fracture to the lefty pinky finger. Employee required surgery and hospitalization as a result of this injury.
