Summary Nr: 105672.015 Event: 11/22/2017Employee Lacerates Hand When Caught In A Moving Sprocket Cha
At 9:15 p.m. on November 22, 2017, an employee was working at the conveyor in th e frozen packing room. The conveyor did not work correctly, and the employee att empted to fix the conveyor by putting pie dough into the sprocket gear and chain . Her hand was caught into the gear resulting in a deep laceration from the palm to the back of her hand that required surgeries and one week hospitalization. The sprocket chain and gear were not guarded.
