Summary Nr: 102625.015Event: 07/31/2017Worker Is Struck By A Truck, Incurs Leg/Foot Fractures
At 2:45 a.m. on July 31, 2017, Employee #1, employed by a paving equipment compa ny, and Coworker #1, a truck operator, were working at a paving operation. Empl oyee #1 was walking toward a work area within the operation. His back was turne d to the truck driven by Coworker #1, who was providing material to the operatio n's paving equipment. The truck backed into Employee #1, making contact with hi s leg and foot. Emergency services were called, and Employee #1 was transported to the hospital. He was admitted and treated for fractures to his right tibia and fibula and multiple foot fractures.
