Summary Nr: 97173.015Event: 07/07/2017Employee Sustains Burns From An Arc Flash While Working With
At 10:40 am on July 7, 2017, an employee was installing a lock out latch on a kn ife blade circuit. The employee made contact with the energized top contacts in an electrical box causing an arc flash. The employee sustained second and third degree burns on the front of his upper body, hands, and face. The power source w as not locked out.
