Summary Nr: 94340.015Event: 03/24/2017Employee Catches Pants On Fire While Replacing Electrode And
At 3:15 a.m. on March 24, 2017, an employee was replacing an electrode on a foun dry furnace and tried to kick a broken piece of the electrode away from him. Th e employee set his pants leg on fire which overheated the lighters in his pocket , causing them to explode. The employee was hospitalized and treated for third degree burns to both legs.
